Dear resident Hope you are all well and having a good start to your week. Here’s a quick roundup from your local policing team of some of the work we have been doing over the couple of weeks in the Blakenall/Leamore/Birchills and Beechdale area. Patrols have been conducted in the area of Remington Road Beechdale, this has been in response to reports of mopeds and off-road bikes at the location. In the area around Stubbs Bridge off Remington Road, evidence of nitrous oxide and Flytipping has been spotted, the team will be linking in with partner agencies in relation to this and patrols will continue. The team are currently working alongside Walsall Council regarding the matters which have occurred on Coalpool Lane regarding the number 29 bus service and youths throwing stones at the bus windows. The patrols will continue both and off the buses in response to this. The team as part of ASB awareness week have been into some of our local schools and conducted classroom-based inputs educating children in what anti-social behaviour is and the effects it has on people in the community.The team have continued patrols in the Reedswood Lane area of Birchills – this is in response to reports of cars and large groups gathering in the area by the entrance to the park playing loud music and causing a nuisance to local residents until the early hours of the morning. Joint letter drops have been conducted with Community Protection- Walsall Council in the areas of Webster Road and Cartbridge Crescent/Walk in response to issues raised regarding anti-social behaviour. Patrols will continue and the team have planned walk throughs with Walsall Housing Group who manage properties in the area. The team along with partners from Walsall Housing Group, Green Sq Accord and Walsall Council attended our PACT meeting held at Blakenall Village Centre on the afternoon of the 03/07/25.
